Two-Handed

You are a warrior, and nothing will stop you from destroying your enemy. You wield massive weapons of steel and iron, charging onto the battlefield and slaughtering your way from one end to the other. You have chosen Two-Handed weapons as your proficiency, and the world trembles at your might.

Primary Stats: Strength, Constitution
Bonus to Skill Checks: Athletics, Intimidate

Basic Abilities
Opening this talent tree grants you the following powers and abilities.

Cleave: Your blows are so strong and accurate, that enemies around you take damage.

Battle Stances: Different stances grant you different fighting abilities. You gain those listed below.

Power Stance
You shift your footing, drop your weapon lower, and prepare yourself to do more damage, no matter the cost, trading defensive capability for offensive capability.

Standing Mountain
Your enemies move to overwhelm you. You heft your weapon, lift your spirits, and you are ready to block their path for as long as it takes, trading offensive capability for defensive capability.

Path of the Balanced
Attack, defend, it doesn’t matter, you are ready for whatever might come. This is the default stance in battle granting no advantage either way, but also no disadvantage.

Weapon of Choice: While you’re adept at using all kinds of two-handed weapons, you have one that you’re better with. Choose one type of two-handed weapon, be it a claymore, a glaive, polearm, battleaxe, or whatever. You are better with this type of two-handed weapon than with any other type. It gives you an advantage when you use it. If this were DnD, you would have a proficiency of +1 with one-handed weapons and a +4 with this particular weapon.

Mastery: Mastery is a measure of your overall power and ability in a given talent branch. Each rank raises your ability a bit higher, and grants you greater power and access to more abilities further down the line. You must purchase each rank in order. Each rank is explained in detail below.

Rank 1: Your accuracy is slightly improved and your attacks do slightly more damage. You have gained a small amount of stamina, allowing you fight slightly longer without tiring while swinging your weapon. 10 points.

Rank 2: Your accuracy is slightly improved and your attacks do slightly more damage. You have gained a small amount of stamina, allowing you fight slightly longer without tiring while swinging your weapon. In addition, your attacks are strong enough to dent a number of different types of armor, causing more damage. 20 points.

Rank 3: Your accuracy is improved and your attacks do more damage. You have gained stamina, allowing you fight longer without tiring while swinging your weapon. Provided you have a Strength of 20, you can use charge from one-handed weapons with a two-handed weapon. You gain a +2 to Strength and Constituion. 30points.

Rank 4: Your accuracy is greatly improved and your attacks do a great deal more damage. You have gained a large amount of stamina, making you as endurant as any other warrior on the field. In addition, you can now crack most types of armor, with proper attacks, to inflict even more damage. 40 points.

Rank 5: Your accuracy is greatly improved and your attacks do a great deal more damage. You have gained a large amount of stamina, making you more endurant than any other warrior on the field. In addition, you can now break most types of armor, with proper attacks, to inflict even more damage. You gain a +3 to Strength and Constitution. 250 points.

Two-Handed Branch Abilities
Titan’s Grip: You can dual wield two-handed weapons. Strength 20, and 20 points.

Devastating Blow: You take a moment to gather strength and unleash a hellish attack that breaks though resistances to deliver a massive amount of damage. This takes time and effort and won’t be something you do repeatedly. Requires Mastery Rank 1 and 10 points.

Great Cleave: The damage you deal with cleave is greatly enhanced, and hits more enemies even at greater distances. Requires Mastery Rank 2 and 15 points.

Deep Wounds: Your attacks leave terrible wounds that bleed, often internally, weakening and slowing your foe while you continue to murder them. The bleed effect from attacking is almost impossible to stop without some kind of aid, such as a healer.  Requires Mastery Rank 2 and 20 points.

Limbsplitter: You have a greater chance of disarming your foe. You can hate me all you want for that pun. In addition, even if you don’t remove a limb, your attacks now have a very good chance of simply disabling your foe by outright destroying or incapacitating limbs. Requires Mastery Rank 3 and 15 points.

Skull Crusher: Your chances of shattering bone when you attack are greatly enhanced, making you a monster on the battlefield. Requires Mastery Rank 3 and 15 points.

Champion’s Stance: This greatly enhances your battle stances, granting you more attack power, greater defense, or both depending on which stance you’re in. Requires Mastery Rank 3 and 20 points.

Combat Mastery: You’ve become so skilled with two-handed weapons that it is second nature to you, and requires much less energy, so you tire much less quickly while attacking. Requires Mastery Rank 3 and 20 points.

Heroic Leap: You jump with all your might, landing hard in a group of foes and stunning them briefly. Requires Mastery Rank 3 and 30 points.

Barbarian Smash: You toss your weapon at a foe, then leap on them, landing hard and sending out a shockwave around you that disorients and slows your enemies while you pick up your weapon and ready yourself to hurt them more. Requires heroic leap, and 30 points.

Weapon Master: You have mastered your weapon of choice and deal extra damage with it. This effect is stacked if you have weapons mastery and if you dual wield. Requires Mastery Rank 5 and 50 points.

Weapons Mastery: You are a master of all two-handed weapons, and any of them are lethal in your hands. Requires Mastery Rank 5 and 50 points.
