Tales of Joresch

Foreword
One of the things I’ve come to enjoy writing are little vignettes from the various worlds that I have created. This comes from a love of Dragonlance Tales; short stories about other people from the world of Krynn that were lovingly written and just as fascinating as anything from the main books.
So, what follows is the introduction for another blog I was going to write, but I decided that this is my main blog so why have like six others for different interests? I’ll just put everything out here, simple and easy to find. If, for some reason, down the line, something gets popular, I’ll start another and keep things separated. I’ll probably throw up stuff from Apokryphos here when I feel it’s polished enough. For now though,  a couple of simple stories from Joresch are going here. This intro, and one other. I’ve some more things I’m working on that are Joresch related, but Jacobar is often away, being the busy soul that he is, so I don’t always have the whole story to tell. When he gets more time to talk with me, I’ll put more Joresch up. Still, it’s nice that he wanted me to write his stories for him. I just wish it was easier to keep him focused.
            Anyway, enjoy!

Hello! My name is Jacobar Greystone, and I am a Chaos Wizard. Fret not if you do not know what a Chaos Wizard is or why one should be writing. You will learn.
YOU.
WILL.
LEARN.
Sorry, that was a bit creepy, wasn’t it?
You see, I have opened this blog with the intentions to relay the stories of my world; The magical world of Joresch!
You see, Joresch is many thousands of years old and has had countless billions live and die on her. There are people as interesting, perhaps more interesting than Onyx (whom we shall introduce you to), though he’ll deny it. I dare say, there may even be a few people more interesting than me, and I’ve lived all the lives of every person in every world in every dimension that ever has been, will be, or was dreamed of! So here, on this wonderful internet of yours, I and my friend here shall transcribe incredible exploits for you and yours to enjoy! I do this for many reasons, the biggest being that I find that I very much like the Earth, and have met a great number of interesting people over the millennia, including a gunslinger who’s fingers now have a home over my father’s tavern, presidents, politicians, kings, queens, sinners, saints, a few Doctors, and more! Yes, despite her problems, I love Earth almost as much as I love my own home in Joresch! Don’t get me wrong! It’s not as though Joresch is perfect either. We’ve primitive technology, barely even guns in many places. Steam power is just being developed. OUTHOUSES, I think that needs no further discussion. And did you know we have no Lolcats? I mean, honestly, what world can call itself civilized without that?
I’m getting away from my point. My point is this. I shall tell you the tales that I have found fascinating from my travels over the years and you shall also hear of my own adventures and those of the big players that have helped shape Joresch and, indeed, saved her from total catastrophe. We’ve stories from all walks of life and even from places beyond Joresch. Stories of love found and lost, the rise and fall of Gods, warriors and maidens and their trysts, and even the tale of how I accidently met a time lord and gave him one day back on his home with all of those he loved after we stopped a group of rather nasty zealots from destroying the Universe. He was helpful. It was the least I could do for him, poor fellow.
So, let it be known now to you, the reader, that these here before you are the stories of The Legacy of Joresch and Jacobar Greystone’s Absolutely True Tales of Wonderment and Honesty That I Certainly Have Not Made Up On the Spot!
I certainly hope you enjoy them.
I know I do.
Oh, one last thing. I would like to thank Miss Agnes Nutter for giving me the idea to start writing on my own and helping me with the title for my stories. You were a treasure, dear, and I hope the fire didn’t hurt as much as it seemed.
Thank you for your time, and I hope you enjoy what is to come!
